Good Vibes Learn Thai (“we”, “us”) runs live online Thai lessons with Ami, a native Thai teacher based in Melbourne. We respect your privacy and handle your personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Booking details — your name, email address, the date and time you pick, and anything you tell us about your goals when you book a trial or lesson.
- Messages — anything you send us by email or social media.
- Lesson notes — your level, goals and progress, so we can plan your lessons.
- Payment records — the amount, date and who paid. We don't see or store your full card or bank details.
- eBook sign-up — your email address when you ask for our free PDF.
- Reviews — your name and comments if you leave a review (for example on Superprof) and agree for us to show it.
We only collect what we need. You can ask a question without giving your real name, but we need a name and email to book lessons.
How we use it
- To book, confirm and run your lessons, and send you the Google Meet link.
- To take payment and keep records we're required to keep.
- To answer your questions and send lesson materials.
- To send the free eBook and occasional Thai tips and news, if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To improve our lessons and website.
We never sell or rent your personal information.
Services we use
We use trusted services to run the business. They hold your information on our behalf, and some store it outside Australia (mainly in the United States):
- Calendly — online booking.
- Google (Google Meet, Gmail, Google Fonts) — lessons, email and website fonts.
- MailerLite — eBook sign-ups and email newsletters.
- Amazon Web Services — website hosting.
- Behold — shows our latest Instagram posts on the home page. Your browser loads the posts from Behold's servers; we don't send Behold any of your details.
- YouTube — videos on our FAQ page. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, so YouTube only sets cookies if you play a video.
- Our bank or payment provider — to receive payments by PayID, bank transfer or card.
We may also share information if the law requires it.
Cookies and your browser
Our website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign up for the eBook, your browser remembers it on your device so you don't have to sign up again. When you open the booking calendar, Calendly may use its own cookies to make booking work — see Calendly's privacy policy.
Lessons on Google Meet
We don't record lessons unless you ask us to and we both agree. If a lesson is recorded, we only use it to help you learn and delete it when you ask.
Keeping it safe
We keep your information in password-protected accounts and only for as long as we need it — for example, while you're a student and for as long as tax and business laws require after that. Then we delete it.
Seeing or correcting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@goodvibeslearnthai.com.au and we'll reply within 30 days.
Students under 18
If you're under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to book for you.
Questions or complaints
If you have a question or a privacy concern, email hello@goodvibeslearnthai.com.au. We'll try to fix it quickly. If you're not happy with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version is always on this page, with the date at the top.
